Weather & Climate of Coonoor

Coonoor famous for its delicate beauty of scenary remains cool throughout the year. The weather of the second largest hill station in the equally picturesque Nilgiris is milder than Ooty, a popular hill station situated nearby.

Summer begins in March and continues till May with temperature hovering around 15°C to 25°C. This is the most pleasant time to enjoy the dramatic landscape views all around and for indulging in exciting tourist activities.

The monsoon season of Coonoor starts from June and stretches till September characterized by mild to medium rainfalls increasing the level of humidity. The hill station looks sensuous in the rainy season.

December to February is the Winter season with mercury shuttling between 10°C to 20°C. This is the best time for the honeymooners as the cool weather recharges the lost energy.
